How far would you go for a better life?

Inspired by true accounts of human trafficking, Justice in Motion present BOUND, a compelling and thought-provoking tale of dreams and broken promises, of hope, optimism and resilience in the face of harrowing circumstances.

Driven by the desire for a brighter future, three very different, but equally desperate, people unknowingly take the biggest gamble of their lives. Finding themselves bound by a dark and saddening reality, how they define, shape and rebel against their isolation and exploitation, is the core of this dramatically powerful piece.

Told through a dynamic fusion of dance, poetry, music, parkour and projection, this promising young company bring you a “beautifully crafted” (audience quote) story of strength, in the face of adversity.

“The movement is stunning and the music / visuals come together in potent and disturbing effect.” (your.harlow)

Dance to Cello. This is a dance session for contact improvisation with an introduction /warm-up and musical accompaniment by cello. All are welcome including those not at Oxford University and beginners.

Contact improvisation is a dance which originated in the 1970’s and which has now spread throughout the world. It’s often taught in university dance courses but it’s easy to learn and fun. It’s an improvised dance - a dialogue in movement - which has a fluid and dynamic form, and it’s social dancing; not stage dancing. Suitable for everyone, whatever your age, gender or dancing experience.

Please wear loose clothing in which you can move freely and bring a water bottle. Note that the session is in the Multi-Purpose Room in the basement. Please ask at the reception if necessary.

Afterwards, we'll go for afternoon tea and cake.

Price: £10

May-We-Go-Round? - image - Pegasus Theatre

The Hiccup Project

Multi-award winning show May-We-Go-Round? is a collision of fiercely energetic dance and comedic
theatre. Cristina and Chess jangle through the merry-go-round of romance, taking audiences along for the bitter-sweet ride.

They are enthralled and compelled by their romantic encounters. Are they enjoying it? Yes. Does it make sense? No.
But, round and round they go…

Honest, provocative and laugh-out-loud funny, it celebrates love and lust in all their enjoyable and confusing forms.

“Genre-splatting, refreshing, inventive…Theatre and dance that hurls custard pies at convention. Outstanding.” Fringe Review
