Flamenco dancer

On Tuesday 1 November (7.30pm - 8.30pm) we are running a free taster class in Flamenco dance for adult beginners.

This is a great opportunity for you to try out Flamenco dance for the first time. Flamenco isn't partner dancing and you don't need to have previous dance experience or a high level of fitness. This class is suitable for men and women of all ages (over 16) and Camino del Flamenco's classes are friendly, accessible and fun. Flamenco dance is a good exercise for core strengthening, it's good for your posture, increasing bone density and muscle bulk as well as increasing your all round fitness levels. Our teachers are all Spanish or of Spanish heritage and highly experienced and knowledgeable.

The class will take place in the lovely dance studio at the newly built Rose Hill Community Centre. The studio has a fully sprung floor and mirrors. There is direct public transport to the centre and a large free car park.

For more details please see our website and our Facebook page. Registration forms for this free taster class are available now. Places are limited so we recommend booking soon.

Spanish Night dancer

After 6 incredibly successful years of running Spanish Nights at The Mill Arts Centre, Banbury we are finally these very special events to the south of Oxfordshire with our new Flamenco venture "Spanish Night (South)".

The first ever Spanish Night (South) will be on Saturday 1 October and it will be at the multi-million pound, flagship arts centre of South Oxfordshire, Cornerstone Arts, Didcot. Tickets are on sale now and they are selling well. You will find a link to buy tickets on the "shows" page of our website and you can also see more details on the Cornerstone Arts website. Also on the Cornerstone website you'll see photos of the group we are bringing and a film clip of their star dancer in performance.

For this first show we are bringing an incredible group who we know everyone will love - Flamenco Express, featuring the wonderful dancing of top male dancer Victor Fernandez from Madrid, who will be performing in the UK for the first time. Following the same format as our Spanish Nights in Banbury, this will be a full, theatre length show of two 45 minute halves with a 20 minute interval.

The room will be laid out as a small tablao, with everyone seating at tables of various sizes and they'll be free Spanish bar snacks on the table for everyone to enjoy. The large stage will enable you to be up-close to the performance and enjoy the incredible power, passion and intensity of the show. If this show goes well, our Spanish Nights South will become a regular feature, so if want top quality live Flamenco to come to the South of Oxfordshire, buy your tickets now and support this wonderful opportunity to see more top level Flamenco live and close-up!
