Give yourself and your child or grandchild some time out of the ordinary day’s routine to explore music and movement together. You’ll introduce your little one to the first steps of ballet whilst enjoying moving with them yourself. Classes are at a gentle pace taking account of all the children’s responses and moods on the day. The priority is to encourage quality time between each adult and their child. Please wear clothes that you can move around in easily. For ages 18 months to 3 years.

Buenos Aires is famed for its tango bars which are an intoxicating mix of music, dance and sultry nights. But you don’t have to go to Argentina, we have it all in Didcot! Join us as Cornerstone’s café bar transforms into a Buenos Aires Tango bar. There will be great music, professional dancers and you can either come along and watch or take part straight away! If you can’t keep your toes from twitching while watching Strictly Come Dancing, this is the workshop for you. Learn the basic steps of the jive and let yourself go to the delicious energy of this Latin partner dance, made up of a mixture of Salsa, Rock and Roll and other dance styles. You don’t have to be super fit or have been a disco dancing champion in your youth to have a go – it’s a great way to keep fit, meet new people and have fun! This workshop will teach you all the beginner moves you need in order to master this fabulous dance. No partner required for this one-off workshop to get you dancing.

There’s trouble at East High School when new student Gabriella has found her way to being a brainiac and a great singer In Disney’s smash hit show anything goes but eventually everyone realises that being yourself and having your own identity is best. Up to 50 local young people perform in this fast paced, fun show! This is a joint project between Cornerstone and Arts Academy Theatre School. An outdoor experience in our town square for the under-fives and their families is coming to Cornerstone this summer. Little Artist: Big Painting offers a unique and unforgettable experience. Watch in awe as the dancers create a visually striking, larger than life painting through a colourful mixture of dance, paint and music.

There is an opportunity after each performance for the audience of little artists to create their own big painting with the dancers.

Come and join theatre professionals to take a full musical from page to stage in six days culminating in a weekend of public performances. Working from 10am until 4.30pm each day you will learn the songs, dances and dialogue from Disney’s High School Musical ready to perform to friends and family, with costumes, set and music!

Sunday 15th May 1-3.30pm Initial workshop: Come along for some singing, dancing and to meet the team. If you want a main part we will also ask you to perform a solo. Deadline for applications 7 July.

Following on from our Oliver! experience earlier in the year, here’s another chance to get excited about musicals. You’ll learn the songs and then put together your own version to perform in front of friends and family. A not-to-be-missed opportunity for all children who are excited about singing, dancing and acting on stage! No experience necessary, just lots of enthusiasm. A short performance for friends and family will take place at 4.30pm.
