Venue, Timing and Cost
This new exhibition of work by Oxford Printmakers Co-operative (OPC) showcases the broad talent of some of their many members.
Expect to see an array of etchings, screenprints, collagraphs, woodcuts, linocuts, monoprints, drypoints and more.
The member led organisation features pieces by artists who are well known names on the Oxfordshire Artweek circuit and beyond. Some exhibit nationally and abroad.
It now has over 115 members, runs regular classes and has open access technician supported sessions for newer members.
Oxford Printmakers’ Co-operative was set up in 1977 by former students and staff from the Ruskin School of Art who needed a dedicated and long term properly equipped venue, to carry on their skilled practice for making work, exhibiting and teaching.
It has gone from strength to strength over the decades.
Lottery funding in the 1990s enabled them to purchase some much needed additional equipment and improve the workshop generally.
A very recent grant from Westmill Solar Co-operative will enable the workshop to create better heat retentive measures as part of a greener economy strategy.
Oxford Printmakers are delighted to be back at the County Museum, Woodstock, having celebrated some of their 40th birthday there in 2017.
