This is a precious opportunity to hear another concert given by the wonderful Castalian Quartet, whose three-year residency at Oxford University (https://music.web.ox.ac.uk/castalian-str...) is funded by the Cosman Keller Art & Music Trust in memory of the musician and writer Hans Keller. Mark-Anthony Turnage’s new quartet will be heard alongside the magnificent Brahms Piano Quintet, a work first performed in a private premiere with Clara Schumann playing the piano part and then completed by the composer in Baden-Baden in 1865.
