Venue, Timing and Cost
Landscape painter, Elaine Kazimierczuk, has invited sculptor, Peter Eugene Ball to collaborate in a joint exhibition in her studio home. Elaine is known for her vibrant semi-abstract landscapes which reinterpret the natural world through a uniquely personal vision via the medium of painting, using a visual vocabulary of bold brushstrokes. Many of her paintings are inspired by the rich flora of Cotswolds wildflower meadows, such as Long Mead on the River Thames at Swinford. In contrast, Peter’s sculpture, made from found objects, driftwood and other materials partly covered in copper and pewter, often embellished with silver and gold, is inspired by a rich anthology of myths and legends. His devotional sculptures are to be found in many churches and cathedrals, with Oxford pieces in Christ Church Cathedral and Merton College Chapel, whilst his secular figures, take the form of witty conversation pieces, covering a fascinating range of subjects from fantastic creatures to warriors, pilgrims and fools.
