This temporary exhibition at the Museum of Oxford includes photographs, artwork, maps, plans and ephemera reflecting on the vibrant history of the city’s river bathing places, from the 1600s onwards.

This is an evolving exhibition that will engage with the local community through a series of workshops in the coming months – including talks, oral history training/gathering, swimming costume design and much more – culminating in a big closing event in September.

We’re collecting stories and objects throughout the show, email museum@oxford.gov.uk if you are interested in contributing.

8 April to 30 September 2023, Museum of Oxford, Town Hall, St Aldates, Oxford OX1 1BX. Open Monday to Saturday, 10am to 5pm. Admission by voluntary donation.
