An exhibition celebrating perspectives of people with dementia

Each window serves as a deeply personal metaphor, providing a glimpse into the inner lives and experiences of the care home residents of Vale House Dementia Care Home. Together the installation of windows represents a home, a metaphor for a community shaped by our varying outlooks

The windows on display have been individually crafted to reflect the , memories and emotions of the creators. Through the use of photographs, mementos, textures, colours and found objects, each one tells a story of a life lived. This will provide inspiration for your own mini ceramic window, which you will have a chance to decorate and paint. You can add the window to a collection of communal windows on display in the gallery or you can take it home

Window making workshops will also be available. Make your own personalised ceramic window, amongst a backdrop of unique windows! All materials will be provided.
