Narratives from Nature poster

Our summer show ‘Narratives from Nature’ displays the metal sculpture of four fine sculptors, who are all deeply influenced by nature in its many forms.

Edward Robert Hill re-cycles second-hand metalwares into artwork focusing principally on nature in its many forms, inspired by Ermington valley where his workshop is. He likes his sculptures to have an attitude of intention. either doing something, about to do something or waiting to do something

Lucy Kinsella is renowned as an Animalier with bronze sculpture in collections around the world. Her focus on the torso in our exhibition shows her appreciation of the human form too.

Claire Nelson is a figurative portrait sculptor specialising in children’s portraits. She loves people and the life they represent; human beings are an eternal source of fascination to her.

Mark Reed’s metal sculptures are deeply rooted in themes of nature and his place within it, science, family and the passage of time. He casts his bronzes himself and shapes the forged steel, which is transformed often from the original concept as he sculpts- a cipher for memories and emotions that are both personal and universal.
