Venue, Timing and Cost

The biennial Photo Oxford Festival celebrates the power and potential of photography, historic and contemporary; documentary and fine art; local, national and international. The 2023 Festival from 14 April to 6 May, in venues across Oxford, offers free exhibitions, participatory events, talks, discussion and creative workshops, in collaboration with a range of partners. The Open Call attracted hundreds of submissions from across the globe and winners' images will be on display in the Yard at Modern Art Oxford.
This year's theme is The Hidden Power of the Archive, exploring what Oxford has to offer and what makes it unique, in the breadth and depth of its people, histories, diversity and connections, uncovering and responding to archives of many kinds through photography.
The full programme is on www.photooxford.org. Pick up a printed programme and map from participating venues and the Festival Hub at Society Cafe.
