This is a life class especially designed for beginners. It takes you through, step by step, all the traditional fundamentals of drawing from the life model. You can learn about proportions, scale, how to measure with a pencil and how to capture the stance of the figure. This 10 week course is a rare opportunity to start this great discipline from scratch. All materials included.

Grant is an experienced professional artist and tutor living in Oxfordshire. He holds a BA (Hons.) in Professional Studies in Education and is a lecturer at Abingdon and Witney College. He also teaches adults who suffer from drug addiction and mental health issues.

Grant specialises in portraiture and figurative painting. He works in oils with fluid brushwork and a strong use of colour and tone. He exhibits regularly and is a member of the Oxford Art Society. Grant has recently been awarded ‘Tutor of the Year 2020’ for his contributions to Oxfordshire Adult learning.
