Course description: This course aims to build on the knowledge and experience gained during the beginner’s workshops at OVADA… During this course, participants will continue to practice mixing a variety of palettes, honing their value maps, and filling out a total composition. With our focus on value to render our subjects, we will explore different combinations of pigments, warm and cool tonal registers, and work toward more efficiency in colour mixing and application.

Level of experience required to take part: Although this course will build on the beginner’s portraiture course at OVADA, it is open to all with some existing experience of portrait painting. Please get in touch if you’re unsure if this course is for you.
