Stuart Jackson and Jocelyn Freeman are two renowned artists with an exceptional and longstanding partnership. Today, they are joined by hornist George Strivens for a performance of Julian Philips’s 'The Country of Larks', commissioned by Oxford Lieder in 2021 and postponed due to illness. They also include Schubert’s 'Auf dem Strom' and Britten’s 'Canticle No.3' alongside songs about nature, birds and the seasons by Amy Beach and Johannes Brahms.
