The Crick Crack Club are the UK's oldest and boldest live storytelling programmers. We create exuberant, intelligent, wild, weird and wonderful events that draw people from all walks of life into the stunning content of international fairytale, folktale, myth and epic. Every month, we bring our Fairytales for Grown-ups to The Story Museum. These are intriguing, intimate live events, featuring some of the UK’s finest storytellers.

The Girl in the Dog - performance storytelling by Jan Blake

A stranger walks into town,
A forbidden chamber is filled with hair,
A girl seeks refuge in the skin of a dog…

Superlative storyteller, Jan Blake, draws us into the hot, enchanted realm of Caribbean and African fairytale - where rules get bent, taboos are broken, people go astray, and family bonds are tightly tied.

Expect shapeshifting, dark encounters and surreal enchantments, as magic is done and undone to restore balance in a dynamic world of wonder.
