Every month, we bring our Fairytales for Grown-ups to The Story Museum. These are intriguing, intimate live events, featuring some of the UK’s finest storytellers.

The Nine Muses of Queen's Crescent - performance storytelling by Clare Murphy

Propelled by inkling, inspiration and memory, nine sisters wander the back streets of a metropolis in search of a goddess - their missing mother.

Wading down rivers of stories, appealing to their satnavs, and invoking ancient myth, they struggle to bring back their Titan mother.

Musing on history, comedy, tragedy and poetry, storyteller Clare Murphy mashes up Greek myth, Egyptian epic, folklore, neuroscience and technology to explore the place where our mind slips, and memory and forgetfulness merge.

'MURPHY'S CHARM AND WIT ILLUMINATES THE DARKEST CORNERS OF HER TALES.'
