Two narrow but wide signs. Top sign is corby bros, trap, van and trolley works, headington quarry, oxford. The sign beneath is Massey - Harris

From advertisers to waywisers, bottled beers to the battle of the Banbury Cakes, take a wander through the world of signs from Oxfordshire’s past.

Whether you have an interest in local history, sign writing and graphics, or just want to wander down memory lane, the exhibition offers a varied and colourful glimpse into the County’s past.

Most of the signs, posters and adverts on display have never been exhibited before, although some of you may have seen them hanging up in store on a visit to the Museums Resource Centre at Standlake.
