Yonder Cloud Theatre presents Analyse Thou Old Fire Station

Yonder Cloud Theatre return to the OFS with another series of riveting therapy sessions that delve into the psyches of some of the Bard’s most iconic characters. Who will be on the couch this time? What shocking insights will they offer? How will our new understanding of their inner life shed light on their motivations and character journeys? Prepare for some breathtaking revelations!

Analyse Thou is an accessible piece of theatre aimed at young adults upwards; though a basic knowledge of Shakespeare is not required, we have included more than enough textual reference points to satisfy the scholars in the audience. Our aim is to make our performances dramatically compelling, whilst remaining human and relatable; where possible, we try to include parallels to recognisable and trending mental health issues.

Accompanying the piece is a 90-minute workshop exploring our working methodology: The Iambic Id – Reinventing Shakespeare from a Psychological Perspective (Sat, 23rd April. 1pm).

The performance will launch the Oxfordshire Shakespeare Festival 2022, an eight-day celebration of the life and works of the Bard. The festival offers a diverse and alternative series of plays, concerts, talks, films and workshops exploring the Bard’s legacy.
