Venue, Timing and Cost
The exhibition titled 'Shallow Lands' opening November 27th will comprise of new work created over the past year by Somerset based studio practice, Forest and Found.
'Shallow Lands' presents work whereby both artists engage their interests to look beneath the surface of our natural landscape to find metaphors in the underland of the country's geography. In the exhibition Bainbridge peels apart our conception of trees as a symbol of strength by revealing the fragile interior of these complex organisms, while Booth draws on hidden language, knowledge and myth locked in nature as she considers the permeable and psychological
underbelly of ancient chalk formations beneath our feet.
Shallow Lands is an exhibition which will draw parallels between these hidden worlds and in doing so can expose existing narratives within nature for our future.
