The East Oxford Community Choir and Orchestra will perform Haydn's The Creation, under the brilliant direction of James Longstaffe. The difficulties facing amateur choirs in the continuing restrictions of the Covid pandemic are extreme, but four distinguished professional soloists -- Helen Atkinson, Katherine Cooper, Robert Felstead and Thomas West -- along with many outstanding orchestral players and months of rehearsal will make this a wonderful occasion. The concert was originally intended as a celebration of 20 years in partnership with twin choir Interlude in Grenoble, but sadly they are not able to join us. Vive la cooperation musicale!
