10:30am - 4:30pm
This workshop is suitable for beginner, improvers and those wishing to rekindle their love and enjoyment of drawing and life drawing.
This monthly workshop will take the format of a morning of fun, mindful, creative drawing exercises designed to focus our attention on the here and now and to allow the outside world to drift away. Guided gently by expert tutor and artist Karen Goonewardene we will approach the day with some insightful drawing exercises themed around the human body.
There will be a short break in the middle of the day during which participants will have the opportunity to review and discuss their work, both individually with Karen and with the others in the group. (Please bring your own packed lunch, although light refreshements will be on offer throughout the day)
In the afternoon, we will be joined by a profesisonal life model. We will start with a series of short poses followed, after a short break, by a number of longer poses.
The last part of the workshop will be dedicated to reviewing our day and our work and discussing feedback and plans for developing our drawing and mindfulness practice further.
Paper, tools and materials will be provded, however you are welcome to bring your own to use if you would like to.
FREE Parking on site.
