Textiles in Oxford (TIO) is a lively group interested in all aspects of textile media, from the latest contemporary artists and trends to the more traditional techniques and historical sources. We meet monthly to enjoy a talk by a practicing textile artist or knowledgeable expert. We enjoy exchanging ideas and chatting with our tea and cake! Polly will give us an insight into her varied and layered mixed media technique, exploring how her various travels in this country, India and beyond have had an impact on her choice of subject matter and imagery.

This talk is about an hour in length, with opportunities to ask questions at the end too. It is a Powerpoint presentation with many illustrations of places Polly has visited and examples of how it has inspired her work. Polly will have examples of her work to handle/view. There will also be a small selection of cards and other items for sale.
