West Ox Arts are inviting ceramic artists, identified through May Artweeks, to join us for ‘CERAMICS - A Celebration' which is being held to celebrate the work of local Potter, Lesley Williams, who sadly passed away on 2nd December 2019.

As one of the founders of Sunningwell School of Art, Lesley also taught there until her retirement in 1995. She continued as a Trustee for many years and was also an Associate Member of the Craft Potters Association and a member of the Oxfordshire Craft Guild. Lesley and her close friends, Anna Lever and Frances Williams, were part of Artweeks for over 15 years. Anna says,

'From huge garden pots and sculptures to colourful stoneware and fine porcelain, they all reflect her optimistic and joyful approach to life. I have always called them ‘happy pots’ as their beautiful colours and generous styles are wonderful to use and were the ideal partners for Mike's fabulous flowers and plants from their Stenton Cottage garden. How wonderful to have this opportunity to show some of the best of her work.’
