Come and join us for Queer Tales, an evening of LGBTQ+ themed stories, in celebration of Pride Month. We’ll be joined by a host of storytellers, each excellent performers in their own right, coming together for the evening to share their own unique stories and tales.

Daisy Black is an academic and renowned wordsmith, who’s storytelling weaves medieval narratives together with English folk song. Often moving, occasionally political, frequently feminist, just a little queer and regularly funny, her stories underline the relevance and vibrancy of medieval narratives for today’s world. Daisy has told stories in some gorgeous and unusual venues, including two Cathedrals, at Swansea Waterfront Museum, at academic conferences and a folk festival in California.

Amy Sutton is a Storyteller from West Sussex. Coming from a performance background, Amy brings theatricality to her retellings of ancient tales, making them accessible and understandable to younger audiences, and full of drama, humour and emotion for older audiences. Amy began telling professionally with the Brighton Storytellers, and has told at the Oxford Storytelling Festival, the Curious House of Stories, and toured Austria as a storyteller with Helbling Publishing.

The Travelling Talesman (also known as Cliff Eastabrook) is a spoken word narrative performer of myths, legends, folktales and the occasional poem. His energetic and engaging performance have seen him touring the country from Penzance to York, for feasts, festivals and fun since the early nineties, with tales of Norse Gods, Celtic mysteries, clever girls and dragon Slayers, medieval mayhem, giants, goblins and halloween horrors.
