Come and join ex-STOMP cast member Ollie Tunmer (Beat Goes On), for a pair of invigorating body percussion workshops suitable for all, regardless of prior musical experience. The first is aimed at a younger age group, and the second will be slightly more complex for older children – but you are welcome to book onto either or both whatever suits.
1-2pm: STOMP-style Body Percussion – ages 5-6
Stomping, clapping, slapping and everything in between – this dynamic, high energy workshop will explore the use of the body as a percussive instrument.

The session will feature a range of rhythmic warm ups, Afro-Brazilian grooves and percussive routines.

2.30-3.30pm: STOMP-style Body Percussion – ages 7-11

Get ready to make some noise! This high energy, interactive session will kick off with some fun, rhythm-based warm ups before exploring a funky body percussion groove. Participants will also have the opportunity to develop their own ideas and incorporate them into a ‘world premier’ final performance.

About Ollie Tunmer:

Ollie is a drummer, percussionist, educator and the director of ‘Beat Goes On’, a percussion workshop company specialising in STOMP-style Body Percussion and Afro-Brazilian Percussion. He is a former cast member of the London and European Tour casts of STOMP and their sister show ‘The Lost & Found Orchestra’, with whom he has performed internationally, including the Sydney Opera House. He is also a qualified teacher, and combines these to produce fun, high energy experiences that both educate and entertain.

Beat Goes On deliver workshops, CPD / PD and keynote presentations internationally. This has included São Paulo, Dubai, Beijing, Melbourne, South Korea, Canada, Colorado and numerous events throughout Europe and the UK, and Ollie has recently developed Beat Goes On’s online output, including workshops, PD sessions & masterclasses to thousands of students and educators across the globe, with the sessions promoting well-being alongside creativity.
