Visit Modern Art Oxford after hours for a night of innovative performances and installations exploring the boundaries between music, art and technology.

The Oxford University Music Faculty’s Electronic Music Practice RESearch (EMPRES) Collective and Modern Art Oxford present another evening of aural adventure in the shape of the Art of Noises series.

Composer and performer Atau Tanaka will lead a workshop and performance. Using muscle sensing technology which measures electrical currents generated in muscles during musical performance, his work treats the human body as a musical instrument. His large-scale installations bring together sound and image, mobile and network technologies.

There will also be performances and installations from the Oxford Music Faculty and Ruskin School of Art graduate and undergraduate communities.
