Contingent Passages Exhibition artist talk Cornerstone Didcot OX11 7NE Rhiannon Evans Solargram

During this session, Rhiannon will share slides and audio files and will be available for informal chats about her work, Arctic Norway, the project and her processes. Admission is free.

The exhibition (6-18 August) draws on her work with Artist Developers collective which held residences in the Arctic Circle at the Nordland Akademi for Kunst og Vitenskap and Norwegian Fishing Industry Museum in north Norway between 2016 and 2018

The residencies, organised by the Neptun Art/Science Lab, focus on challenges related to the sea and climate, through the use of experimental and new technology.

Contingent Passages includes photograms and pinhole photographs made during the residencies, pastel paintings and reflections created on her return.

Contingent Passages uses innovative processes of documentation to record and reveal Rhiannon’s personal experiences as a temporary resident and collaborative creator in this Arctic Norway community - connections made, stories shared, actions taken and reflections recorded.

Rhiannon studied Fine Art at Central St Martins College, London in 2011 and completed her MA Fine Art Digital at Camberwell College, London in 2016.
