Explore the art of linocut in this one day workshop where you will be guided through the entire printmaking process. You will be taught how to use the carving tools and you will learn how to make a range of different marks on an initial practice block. Next you will spend some time composing your design. You may wish to bring some of your own images to work from, however plenty of inspiration will be at hand to help you decide. You will be shown how to ink your lino blocks, how to burnish prints by hand and how to make prints using a press. The workshop is suitable for complete beginners as well as those with previous experience. Everything will be explained clearly with demonstrations. All tools and materials will be provided.
