Join Mark Vardy of Silvar Design for this one day workshop exploring the basics of enamelling on copper using a kiln.

Learn basic enamelling techniques, having fun working with copper shapes, enamel powders, frits and threads. Progress onto techniques such as scraffito, stencilling and scrolling. We will also explore counter-enamelling, Simple cloisonné techniques and wet-laying.

No previous experience necessary.
Enamels will be freely available to use during the workshop. A starter pack of copper shapes are included and others are available to purchase on the day.
Do come and join us, learn a new skill, have some fun and make a number of unique pieces of enamelled jewellery.

About Mark:
Mark Vardy founded Silvar Design in 2004. Originally an electronics engineer, Mark is now a silversmith, running workshops in silver jewellery-making and enamelling on copper from his studio in Staffordshire, and appearing in his own TV programmes on Create & Craft. Mark is a qualified adult education teacher.
