Federico Colli is recognised internationally for imaginative interpretations and impeccable technique. Since winning first the Salzburg Mozart Competition in 2011 and then Leeds International Piano Competition in 2012, he has appeared with some of the world’s great orchestras.
Of his London debut, performing Rachmaninov No.3 with the BBC Symphony Orchestra, The Times commented: ‘played with formidable delicacy by Federico Colli, with limpid tone and calligraphic phrasing. Colli takes care to seduce before sweeping the listener off his or her feet.’
Tonight, we look forward to a selection of Scarlatti sonatas and to works by J.S. Bach, including Busoni’s dazzling arrangement of Chaconne.
