Two volunteers take part in a clinical drug trial. When they develop feelings for each other, the whole experiment is thrown into jeopardy – and makes them question the limits of medicine, neurology and love.

“I can tell the difference between who I am and a side effect.”

Following their sell-out production of Collaborators, Ronin Theatre presents Lucy Prebble’s funny, heartbreaking and intriguing exploration of the clash between science and human feeling.

The Effect premiered at the National Theatre’s Cottesloe Theatre in November 2012.

This amateur production of "The Effect" is presented by special arrangement with Samuel French LTD
