A 60-minute insight into furniture maker Harriet Speed’s research project entitled A Maker’s Guide to Grief. Here she explores and explains the similarities between the processes of designing and making, and the stages of grief, leading to further and better understanding of how we build resilience.

A 30-minute presentation from Harriet will be followed by a half-hour open discussion with the audience, where others are invited to share their own experiences and offer new perspectives.

The THIS GIRL MAKES exhibition is in the Gallery, 18 January – 2 March.
