Each year I invite people to come to Headington to enjoy drawing by organising a free family friendly chalking event as part of the The Big Draw ( see www.thebigdraw.org). Drawing is very important for young and old alike, developing and keeping hand, eye, brain coordination active. The Big Draw helps promote the importance of drawing world wide. This year’s theme is PLAY.
You are invited to come and have fun chalking on the pavements. Would you like to play hopscotch, or noughts and crosses? perhaps alphabet hop? Maybe walk the tightrope and avoid the shark? Will you be able to find your way through the maze? Or maybe you want to be creative and play your own way, maybe use chalk to draw round your friend, brother or sister and take them on a magical journey to ….?

So Come along and enjoy playing with chalk at this free fun family friendly chalking event anytime between 9.30-4.30 pm on Saturday 22 September, by the shops on the London Road in Central Headington. The Big Chalk starts under the tree by Tesco’s opposite Sainsbury’s, just by Cancer Research.
