Voice Box Choir are known for the wide variety of music they perform and the joy with which they embrace different musical styles. There will be music in this concert to suit all tastes, ranging from a light-hearted cappella moment and close harmony pieces, to gospel songs about hope and survival, and touching on a few choral favourites like the “Fields of Gold” on the way. All the evening’s proceeds will go towards Freedom From Torture (formerly known as The Medical Foundation for the Care of Victims of Torture: www.freedomfromtorture.org ). Freedom From Torture has been working for over 30 years to provide direct clinical services to survivors of torture who arrive in the UK, as well as striving to protect and promote their rights. Since its inception, many thousands of individuals have been referred for help.
