Actress and singer Sarah Gabriel explores the fascinating and conflicted life of American writer and poet Dorothy Parker.

Using her letters, essays and poems, with live music and songs by George Gershwin, Harold Arlen, Cole Porter, Rodgers & Hart and more, Gabriel brings Parker’s words and world to life in this unique musical afternoon.

Part of the Ashmolean’s American Cool Festival, celebrating American art and culture from the 1920s to 1940s, coinciding with the major exhibition America’s Cool Modernism: O'Keefe to Hopper.
