Since winning First Prize at the 2002 Maria Canals International Piano Competition in Barcelona, Viv McLean has enjoyed a successful career in the UK and internationally. He has performed in concerto with the Royal Philharmonic, London Philharmonic, English Chamber and Scottish Concert Orchestras and is touring this season with the London Concert Orchestra performing 'Simply Gershwin' at the Royal Festival Hall and around the UK.

Orchestra of St John's (OSJ), was founded 50 years ago by conductor John Lubbock and boasts some of the most exceptional musicians in the country. It has performed internationally in venues including Carnegie Hall New York and the Berlin Philharmonic Hall, and appears regularly at St John Smith Square in London. Around Oxford, OSJ presents a series of Prom concerts each year at the Ashmolean Museum and its own festival, 'Music in the Abbey', at Dorchester on Thames.
