“Qualms? Oh yeah sure, I have ‘qualms’. Everybody has qualms. But I’ll overcome them.”

From the creator of Netflix’s hit series Mindhunter and the Olivier Award-winning writer of Blue/Orange comes this dynamic story of one man trying to stand up to the state. A brilliant mixture of dark comedy and very modern morality play, it’s an evening’s entertainment you won’t forget.

Ned is an engineer, excited about his top secret programme with the British Government. To his family’s horror, he’s working on a type of military technology so advanced it will revolutionise modern warfare.

Starting to question what he is doing, Ned tries to control how his new weapon will be used – but he hasn’t taken into account how far the Government will go to get what it wants out of him...

“an elegant variation on...the moral responsibility of the scientist”
The Guardian

“hilarious and moving...a heartfelt debate that is as much about brotherly love and family as it is about weapons, inventions and world politics.”
The Stage

This amateur production of “Landscape with Weapon” is presented by special arrangement with SAMUEL FRENCH, LTD.
