An exciting new workshop, picking up on the current fashion and interiors trend for applique and embroidery. A great project for using up fabric leftovers!

Using applique techniques, hand and machine (not essential) embroidery, unleash your creativity. Design a piece of fabric depicting a landscape, garden, favourite building or your house! You will learn how to use fabric texture, colour and patterns to build up your design. The possibilities are endless and you will have a unique piece of art for your home.

This is a two in one workshop as you will also learn how to make a drum lampshade from your appliqued design, no sewing involved in that part.

Don't be put off by the 'design' element of this workshop - you will be guided with ideas and inspiration. You never know what you can achieve until you try!

Tools and materials included to make a 15cm lampshade. We will provide a piece of background fabric but feel free to bring your own if you wish.

Please bring:
- sewing machine with embroidery foot if you wish to machine embroider.

- Basic sewing kit including fabric scissors, needles, pins, thimble.

£55 includes materials, tea & coffee and lunch - please advise of any dietary requirements on booking.
