This project encapsulates one journey in a multitude of themes and experiences. Not just any journey but that most common of journeys, the commute to work. My art practice focuses on the exploring and interrogating these common, often repetitive and mundane experiences and in doing so, bring them into a new realm of understanding and connection.

Shot on a colour negative film using a half frame camera, this collection of 27 diptychs were shot chronologically in one single journey, as presented here. Each pair of images are physically tied together through the physical nature of film and present scenes or objects that are in close proximity (the objects and scenes in each pair of images are in direct sight of each other) and therefore in a direct relationship with each other in reality: the purpose of this project is simply to attend to what is already there.
