The body of my work consists of big. bold canvases, that incorporate Art Trouve or found objects. The ugly detritus of modern living, that is transformed into beautiful works of art. I find this very satisfying. It has been known for me to shred and pulp all those irritating mailshots into Papier Mache. This I find very this cathartic, and to a point, a spiritual experience. I love getting involved in the messy process of creating. Letting yourself get totally involved , in the zone. This is when the magic happens. Loosing control, forgetting constraints. I have a love of colour and bling with a touch of orientalism, My mantra is more bling the better, Banish the beige. I am also conscious of the green issues that underline my work. Whenever possible, I use water based, natural materials avoiding those nasty chemicals. What's more it can be fun saving the planet. Come and see for yourself, and share my joy
