In the first posthumous exhibition of the work of highly acclaimed and influential British artist Rose Finn-Kelcey (1945–2014), Life, Belief and Beyond focuses on explorations of power, performance, belief, spirituality and perceptions of the self.

A central figure in the performance and feminist art scenes in Britain for over four decades, Finn-Kelcey’s work is conceptually powerful, profound and is characterised by a dry wit. She had a far-reaching influence on British conceptual art in the 1970s and 80s, extending to the generation of Young British Artists in the 1990s as she began to realise large-scale and technically complex installations.

This exhibition presents works from the early 1970s to 2014, providing examples of Finn-Kelcey’s diverse and exacting practice. The works are presented alongside photographs, collage, performance documentation, sketches in progress and preparatory materials which have never before been exhibited.
