traditional hand stitched scalloped edge lampshade

Learn to create a traditional scalloped edge lampshade. From covering the frame to making the shade and adding trimmings.

Some machine and hand sewing are required.

We supply a 12" scalloped edge empire lampshade frame. You will need to bring 1 metre of fabric. Nothing too heavy or textured, flimsy or delicate. The fabric will be used on the bias, so please bear that in mind if you have a pattern. We have trimmings, but feel free to bring matching braid.

£45 including tea and coffee. Lampshade frame and some tools and materials provided. Please bring pins, sewing scissors, a needle and matching thread.
