These days we all need to keep a shopping bag in our cars & handbags - make a stylish one you'll be proud to show off! This strong, durable tote bag uses canvas or similar fabric, that's built to last. Great for the beach.

If you are new to sewing then this workshop will allow you to get to grips with domestic sewing machines and overlockers. Decorate your bag with fabric paints, embroidery or appliqué.

Equipment:
Please bring:
- A basic sewing kit, to include: fabric scissors, tape measure, pins, chalk, ruler.

- 1.5m of 1.5" wide thick cotton tape for bag handle (black or own colour choice)

- 1m fabric for a 15" wide and 13.5" height bag. Think about the pattern you choose and whether or not you would like it to match at the seams. (please wash the fabric beforehand to reduce shrinkage)

- Any fabrics that you wish to use in particular for your decoration. There will be some fabric, ribbons and embellishments available to use.

- Sewing machine if you have one (there will be the use of 3 machines on a first come first served basis)
