Here is a very special opportunity to join John Spiers for a solo performance, together with a buffet meal in the convivial atmosphere of The Vaults Café in Oxford's University Church.

The evening will begin with guests enjoying their buffet dinner from 7pm. Then sit back with your glass of wine and soak up the music of John Spiers who will entertain you in his inimitable fashion. (For those who are feeling decadent, there's always the dessert bar as well!)

Squeezy, as he's affectionately known, is an outstanding melodeon and concertina player, best known for his duo work with Jon Boden and more recently with super group Bellowhead. He is always good company and as an Oxfordshire lad, has a few good tales to tell about the area as well as being the composer of some beautiful tunes with familiar titles - Red Kites is a John Spiers composition.

We are delighted that Squeezy is a patron of Folk Weekend: Oxford; he is a great champion of local talent and the folk scene. He is also performing at this year's festival on Sunday 23rd April 2017.

The Vaults Café is the winner of "The most sustainable restaurant in Oxfordshire 2016" and is renowned for its fresh, organic produce and locally grown ingredients. The ambience is wonderfully cosy at Oxford University's Old Congregation House of 1320: we are very pleased to be able to team up with this famous Oxford landmark to present Squeezy's Supper Club.

* Ticket price includes 1 course buffet dinner, tea & coffee, and concert. There will be a pay bar for drinks and dessert. *
