Venue, Timing and Cost
MY APPROACH: I offer beginners art classes and evening courses for adults, in which I use the same approach as I use when making my own artwork – it is all about having fun, making a mess, trying things out and enjoying the experience. Experimentation and curiosity are key!
ABOUT: This class is all about experimenting with colours and textures, layering, contrast, ripping up bits of paper, and seeing what happens. Materials will include lots of different coloured papers, magazines, sequins, glitter, paints and pens.
I also offer classes using collage and experimental printmaking, as well as 6 week evening courses.
WHO ARE THEY FOR? The classes are very much geared towards people who perhaps have not done anything creative since school or for a long time, but would like to have a go at making art in an informal and relaxed atmosphere, or who would like to kick start their creativity after a period of inactivity.
They are not your traditional art classes! They are designed to help you to let go, to overcome the fear of the blank white sheet of paper, and experience a free and mindful approach to making artwork. They have an overall structure, but there is no right or wrong and there is the option to do your own thing too.
WHERE: All classes are held in my home studio in Headington, and are for a maximum of 6 people.
