ABOUT: My evening courses run over 6 weeks and start off with scribbling and finger painting in the first evening, and then we will work with a range of techniques including printing, collage, and ink blowing in each session. There will be the chance to work with lots of different materials such as paints, charcoal, pencils, pens, pastel and crayons. As we try out different techniques you can also develop your work as you go along – adding different effects and materials to pieces you make along the way.

The aim is to help you to grow in confidence with your creativity in a fun, relaxed and small group environment, and to try out lots of different things that you may want to then continue to develop yourself at home.

MY APPROACH: My courses (and one off classes) are not your traditional art classes! They are designed to help you to let go, to overcome the fear of the blank white sheet of paper, and experience a free and mindful approach to making artwork. They have an overall structure, but there is no right or wrong and there is the option to do your own thing too. They are all about having fun, making a mess, trying things out and enjoying the experience. Experimentation and curiosity are key!

WHO ARE THEY FOR? The classes are very much geared towards people who perhaps have not done anything creative since school or for a long time, but would like to have a go at making art in an informal and relaxed atmosphere, or who would like to kick start their creativity after a period of inactivity.

LOCATION: All classes are held in my home studio in Headington, and are for a maximum of 6 people.

TIMINGS: Thursday evenings, 7.00 – 9.00pm
