At OXONDrama we run various drama and performance classes for adults. Our next term starts in September.

BEGINNERS' DRAMA CLASS
Explore performance through a variety of fun, low pressure games and exercises. Meet new people and learn new skills in a supportive and creative environment. Covering improvisation, script work, creating characters and working on dramatic and comedic material. No previous experience necessary.
TUESDAYS 6pm-8pm

INTERMEDIATE DRAMA CLASS
Delve further into the world of acting, whilst having a great time. We will progress from lower focus group work to two person scenes and solo speeches. Over this term each student will work on a scene with a partner and prepare a monologue (solo speech) for performance. Some experience necessary.
TUESDAYS 8pm-10pm

IMPROVISATION
Be spontaneous! This improvisational theatre class is great for actors, writers and anyone who is interested in discovering a new way of experiencing the world around them. Learn the rules of improvisation, develop your listening skills and build confidence. No experience necessary, but an openness to learn and try something new is vital.
WEDNESDAYS 6pm-8pm

LONG FORM IMPROV NEW!
Further your improv skills in this challenging, fast paced class! Long Form improv further develops listening, quick thinking and team work skills. We will work on longer, more detailed improv scenarios. A challenging, fast paced and very enjoyable class. Some drama / improv experience necessary.
WEDNESDAYS 8pm-10pm

SHAKESPEARE NEW!
Learn practical techniques, and perform Shakespeare scenes and speeches. We will learn how to speak verse, so that it feels natural, develop vocal technique and deliver some great Shakespearian performances. This is a dynamic, exciting class, very different to what you may have learned about Shakespeare in school! No drama / Shakespeare experience necessary. Catering for all levels.
THURSDAYS 6pm-8pm

SCREEN ACTING
Learn how to act like a movie star, and deliver a brilliant, naturalistic onscreen performance. We will look at on-screen improvisation, re-create scenes from famous movies, deal with the technical aspects of on-screen performance, and playback your work in class so that, you can learn from your performances. This is one of our most social and enjoyable classes. No previous experience needed.
