Thomas Allery

Thomas Allery plays music from the 17th century Stylus Phantasticus, and later high baroque, style. Featured works by Frescobaldi, Froberger, Bach, d’Anglebert, Duphly, and Scarlatti.

St Peter’s Wolvercote, First Turn, Oxford OX8 8AT. 7:30pm (doors at 7.00pm). Unreserved seating.

Thomas is Director of Chapel Music at Worcester College. He graduated with Distinction from the Masters programme at the Royal College of Music where he studied organ with Margaret Phillips and harpsichord with Terence Charlston.

Thomas will play a harpsichord built in 2010 by Keith Hill, in Manchester, Michigan USA based on the instrument built by Pascal Taskin in Paris 1769, now preserved in the Russell Collection at the University of Edinburgh. The instrument is kindly supplied and tuned by Simon Neal http://www.simonneal.org.uk/ in support of the St Peter’s Organ Appeal.
