Venue, Timing and Cost
Diaries are places for dreaming. Writer Sally Bayley will introduce you to the dream worlds of famous diary writers Anne Frank, Sylvia Plath, and Adrian Mole. We will hear about their hopes, fears and fantasies. Inspired by these examples, we will try to find our own diary-writing voice in a series of fun writing and voice exercises.
Many diarists use their diaries for drawing and doodling. In the second part of the workshop, animator Suzie Hanna will explore the process of doodling as a way of expressing your thoughts and feelings. The session will include some animation work and short films inspired by writers.
Suitable for ages 12-16. Adults are not required to accompany their children for this workshop.
