Participation Coordinator

Job Purpose
The Participation Coordinator is a key position reporting to the Creative Learning Director. The postholder is responsible for the coordination of our creative learning opportunities and supporting the engagement of young people with our programme of activity. The role supports the development, implementation and monitoring of Pegasus’s business planning in order to achieve our artistic ambitions and business objectives.

Dance tutor needed

Dance tutor needed for maternity cover (at least 18 months)

To teach an adult dance class on Monday evenings (8pm-9:15).

And youth theatre on Saturday mornings. Not every Saturday due to rotating tutors and skills. Starting 10am, with varying finishing times depending which age group is being worked with each week.

Both located in Harwell, near Didcot.

The adult class is for beginners and developers - more about fitness and fun.

SJE Volunteer Steward

We are looking for stewards to join the SJE family and assist with the delivery of front-of-house operations. Stewards are very much at the heart of the team, ensuring the public feel welcome attending performances at SJE Arts.

Staging Technician (occasional)

We are looking for technicians to facilitate venue changes for the growing number of concerts and recordings at SJE Arts.

Core tasks:

- Assembling staging for performances and recordings
- Organising audience seating and bringing extra chairs to the church
- Positioning of the church altar and other church furniture for services as required

Staging technicians are paid a fixed fee for the first two hours, with additional paid hours as and when required. They are usually expected to work late evening shifts, after a concert has ended.

Concert Manager (occasional)

Great natural light. Studio available at Ayres House, Wallingford, Oxfordshire

The first of the spaces to be created from our Artists Studio Development Scheme is Ayres House in Wallingford, which will open in October. Many of the spaces are already taken but a few studios remain.

For anyone interested in looking round I will be holding viewings on Tuesday 20th August from 10am, and on Wednesday 21st August from 5pm. Please email to register your interest and book a viewing appointment!
