JOIN OUR TEAM!

Oxford Opera’s Education and Outreach Team need YOU!

We want to hear from workshop facilitators, music directors, and assistants for our growing Education and Outreach Team.

Since 2018, award-winning Oxford Opera has been delivering on its vision to deliver top-class productions featuring the very best UK-based professionals, whilst also creating opportunities for local young people to work in a professional production. Our vision for accessibility and opportunity for all runs throughout our Education and Outreach work with our exciting workshops and residence projects within schools, alongside our workshop projects which are open to the young people across the county and beyond. To deliver on our expanding programme of events we would love to welcome top-class, energised individuals to our team of facilitators, musical directors, and assistants.

We are looking for the following:

•Workshop Leaders: You must have experience of running opera, theatre, music or dance workshops, and of working with children and young people. A ground-level understanding of the popular operatic repertoire would be welcome.

•Music Director: prior knowledge of popular opera repertoire needed, alongside the ability to play keyboards to a high standard. No prior workshop experience required, but preferable.

•Workshop Assistant: no previous experience required. We are, however, looking for an eagerness to learn, and a passion for getting young people involved with theatre education.

Full training is provided for the workshops. Fees are dependent upon the position and the project.

DBS – all applicants must have an existing DBS check and certificate.
